Hong Kong is one of the leading banking centers in the world. Most of the largest global banking institutions have branches there, including HSBC, Citibank and Standard Chartered. There are also many strong local and Asian banks to choose from, such as Bank of East Asia, Bank of China (Hong Kong), DBS Bank and Hang Seng Bank.

Different banks may have different requirements for account opening, and the requirements will differ based on the company type (proprietorship or limited company, Hong Kong or overseas company, corporate or individual directors etc.). However, most banks will need at least the following documents to process your application:

  • Certified copies of business license (or business registration certificate), certificate of incorporation, M&A
  • Latest annual return (for companies over one year old)
  • Identification document of beneficial owners/directors/shareholders and the bank account operators
  • Address proof of beneficial owners/directors/shareholders and the bank account operators.

As part of our service, we will provide you with the full and updated list of documents to prepare to open your corporate account in Hong Kong, based on your selected bank.

Initial deposit will also depend of the type/currency of account to be opened. It is usually about HKD5,000 or USD1,000.

This service is included in our Gold Standard package. For other packages, active companies or companies not registered in Hong Kong, we charge a non-refundable fee of HKD2,000.
